Since its inception over 20 years ago, Advanced Transport have enjoyed the benefits of consistent management working towards a common objective. To provide the best service in the industry.
Fred Woolley established the business, running a small van from a room in his home. Thanks to his dedication to service, it soon became apparent that more staff would be essential. Accordingly the business recruited: an expert in the operation and management of HGV vehicles; more drivers to work around the clock shifts and a permanent office worker to man the newly acquired office premises.
As the company's success continued to grow, still larger premises were procured in Southall, Middlesex. A fleet of larger vehicles was purchased to cater for the increasing volume of transport requests being received from larger companies such as Glaxo. Enhanced office procedures, and more office staff were soon introduced to ensure the standards for which Advanced Transport were building a reputation.
Extensive investment in new technology, along with an established track record, soon equipped Advanced Transport to tender for, and win, high security freight consignments from companies like Bax Global who demand strict working methods and stringent staff and driver security verification. As a further enhancement to our operational security arrangements the decision was made to move premises to a secure unit in Feltham, where we are still located today.
Advanced Transport have always considered smart, uniformed dress code a high priority. Drivers carry mobile telephones at all times, and it is thanks to the high standard of training provided to all operational staff that our policy of decentralising the drivers, enabling them to operate without the constant personal contact with adinistration staff, has proved so successful.
